Olluco

In the Andes, it was domesticated during pre-Hispanic times, where different cultures represent their art. It is one of the most common crops in South America, and Peru is in a constant process of agricultural expansion, due to its demand for its pleasant taste and versatility for food, as well as for its resistance to many pests and little need for pesticides.

Due to its high content of calcium, vitamin C, minerals and B complex, its consumption is recommended especially for children, pregnant women, the elderly and athletes.
