Custard Apple

Prehispanic Peru. The Spanish chroniclers called it “manjar blanco” because of its delicious flavor.

Custard apple is a fruit grown in the inter-Andean valleys of Peru and is considered the best of its kind for its flavor, aroma and fine texture, characteristics that give it a definite preference in the international market.

It contains a large amount of carbohydrates, mainly glucose and sucrose. It is a good source of potassium and vitamin C.
